Permanent Hair Removal with Electrolysis
Even with the advent of laser technology, electrolysis is still recognised as the ONLY method of PERMANENT hair removal. I started doing electrolysis back in 1996, before laser was widely available, and although lasers are fantastic on larger areas such as legs, bikinis and underarms, they can be much less effective on random hairs, facial hair and hair with no pigment i.e. grey, white or red.
Many people have sporadic but persistent hairs growing on the chin, upper lip, navel or around the nipples. In my opinion these areas are often better off being treated with electrolysis to achieve permanent removal. In fact, in recent years electrolysis has had a resurgence because people are realising that laser has it's limitations, especially with facial hair, and gets to the point where it is no longer making a difference. In these cases too, electrolysis is the only solution to getting permanent results.
In the hands of a qualified electolysist it is a very safe and effecitve method for permanent removal of hair. A disposable (tiny) needle is placed next to the hair in the follicle and a thermal current is discharged to cauterise the blood supply at the base of the follicle that feeds the hair. With regular treatment this technique weakens and ultimately destroys the hair.
